The Swinging Radio England & Britain Radio Photo Book is a superb souvenir account of the story of Swinging Radio England & Britain Radio, which broadcasted from the MV Olga Patricia, later named MV Laissez Faire off the coast of Frinton-on-Sea in Essex in 1966 - 1967. This book tells the story of the station through many trials and tribulations from this exciting era of Pirate Radio. In this A4 Landscape size, 96 page full colour photo book it tells the story of the station using a fabulous selection of black & white and colour photographs printed on high quality gloss paper. In fact, many have never been seen before - together with items of original Radio England & Britain Radio memorabilia. They include undiscovered photographs of the ship at sea, together with many of the on-air DJs.

This photo book follows the complete story of the radio station established on a former World War II Liberty ship. Our photos show the initial fitting out of the ship in Miami Florida. The book is lavishly illustrated with over 170 photographs and memorabilia. Many have been rescanned from the original negatives and transparencies using a high resolution scanner, colourised, and digitally restored to bring out every detail.

Also included are photographs of many of the leading groups and pop stars of the day who visited the station. Plus a full list of DJs. This photo book is a must for any Radio England & Britain Radio fan and covers Radio Dolfijn, Radio 227 and Radio 355. In fact every station that broadcast from their ship during 1966 and 1967, right up until the station closed down on 6th August 1967.

Many detailed pieces of information has been included from ‘Government Papers’ of the time, revealing plans and plots by governments to possibly board or jam the station. Plus a witty foreward written by original SRE DJ Ron O'Quinn.

Ray Anderson has painstakingly researched and produced this photo book which is the fourth book in a new series celebrating ‘The Golden Age of Radio’ to celebrate over 50 years anniversary of these great offshore pirate stations.
